Youth, Community, and Baseball: Frontline to Field’s First Ohio Camp a Success in Copley

Frontline to Field proudly hosted its first Ohio Youth Baseball Camp in Copley on February 28–March 1, 2026, bringing young athletes together for a weekend focused on skill development, mentorship, and community connection.

Throughout the two-day camp, participants worked on the fundamentals of baseball, including throwing, hitting, fielding, and base running. Players had the unique opportunity to learn from experienced coaches and volunteers who shared their knowledge of the game while encouraging teamwork and confidence.

One of the highlights of the camp was the involvement of former Major League and Minor League Baseball players, including TJ Donovan, Dave Ford, and Chris Steinborn. Their experience and mentorship gave campers valuable insight into the game while inspiring the next generation of athletes.

The camp was made possible through the generous support of Kaulig Giving, whose sponsorship helped bring this opportunity to young athletes in the community.

Another special moment during the weekend was the participation of the Copley Police Department, who joined the event and spent time connecting with the players. Their presence helped create a welcoming and positive environment while strengthening the bond between local youth and law enforcement.

As the first Frontline to Field youth camp held in Ohio, the event marked an exciting milestone for the organization. Seeing the enthusiasm, hard work, and smiles from the young athletes throughout the weekend reminded everyone involved why these opportunities are so meaningful.

Frontline to Field is incredibly grateful to Kaulig Giving, the Copley Police Department, the former professional players who volunteered their time, and all the families and supporters who helped make the camp a success. We look forward to continuing to grow these programs and bringing even more opportunities to young athletes in Ohio and beyond.
